stereotyping
To be honest, i didn't use to know what stereotype meant before last Wednesday's MCM class. I've been seeing it in my daily life, I just didn't have a definition for it. Stereotyping is the reason behind a lot of problems that our world faces nowadays. If you think about it, even wars might occur because of it. According to the U.S. census bureau the population of the World is about 6,968,780,347 people. It is not possible for that huge number of people to share the same personalities and qualities, and it's just as impossible as having all Muslims to be terrorists. i think that People who stereotype aren't necessarily bad people. A lot of them are just uneducated, ignorant, or even unaware of what's happening in the world.

Do Ads Have an Effect on Us ?
I've always thought that I'm someone who doesn't get affected by media or advertisements, but lately I've come to realize that I do. Even thought we might not realize it but I think we all get affected. There definitely is a reason behind us going to a certain shop to buy a certain perfume or a lipstick. The reason behind that is the same reason behind girls wanting to look anorexic, it's the same reason behind us choosing which restaurant to have lunch in, and that is Media! We are unconsciously listening to what Ads tell us to do. We don't like to admit that we get affected by them, because if we do, then we won't feel that we're strong, we will feel manipulated and weak.
